PROFESSIONAL:
Mr. Lynch graduated from De La Salle High School in New Orleans, and graduated from the University of
Southwestern Louisiana earning a Bachelor of Arts. In 1987 he graduated law school from the Southern
University Law Center and worked for the Court of Appeal as a senior law clerk till 1989. Concurrently, he
was an instructor at Delgado Junior College and taught the notary public and business law classes from
1988 till 1990. After working at the Appellate level as a Senior Law Clerk, Mr. Lynch practiced law as a
solo practitioner. While doing so, he continued to serve the public in several areas. From 1992 to 1993,
he was the Planning Commissioner for the St. Tammany Parish Policy Jury. He graduated as a charter
member from the St. Tammany West Leadership class in 1994. Additionally, he served as a Reserve
Deputy Sheriff in special operations from 1991 to 1996 when he was elected as the Justice of the Peace
for the 4th Ward in St. Tammany Parish.
While serving the public as a Justice of the Peace, Mr. Lynch continued to be an instructor for the
People's Law School of St. Tammany Parish from 1997 to 2000, and was a board member for the Youth
Service Bureau. He was the President of the Covington Bar Association from 2000 to 2001. Additionally,
he was a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association's House of Delegates for the 22nd Judicial
District Court from 2002 to 2006, and was also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association's MCLE
Committee. While serving as a member or on the committees, Mr. Lynch continued to serve as Justice of
the Peace until the end of 2008, when he retired. He now currently works as a full time solo practitioner.
PERSONAL:
Mr. Lynch is married to Joanna Wright Lynch, and they have two sons together: namely Daniel James
Lynch and Taylor Michael Lynch. He is a devout Christian and attends Trinity Evangelical Church, and is
active in Promise-Keepers. In 1996 was became an Ordained Minister. He has been an instructor for
Crown Financial Ministries since 2001, and continues to do so today. He has traveled to Braila Romania
in 2004, Lugoz Romania and Bogotá Columbia in 2006 as a Missionary.
